General Information


On site registration will be open on Sunday 30 November from 15h00 -18h00 and then from Monday to Thursday from 07h00 and will remain open during congress hours.

The registration desk will be situated in the foyer area of Building 35 and will be clearly signposted.

Your name badge is the official pass and must be worn to obtain entry to all conference sessions, teas and coffees, and social events.  Should you have registered for a Field Trip, the Sunday Social, Monday Braai, Tuesday interactive evening or Congress dinner on Wednesday these will be indicated on your name badge.

Presentation Preview Room/Speaker Prep Room:

The Speaker Preview Room is located in lecture hall G01, Building 35, South Campus and will be clearly signposted.

All presentations are to be handed in at the Speaker’s Prep Room in good time –on the morning of the day before your allocated slot. If you are presenting on Tuesday morning, please hand your presentation in on Sunday between 15h00 – 17h00 or Monday between 08h00 - 17h00.  If you are presenting on Tuesday and going on a Field Trip on Monday pleasure ensure to load your presentation on Sunday. The Speakers Prep room will be open daily, Tuesday – Thursday 07h30 until 17h00 but will close at 15h30 on Thursday.


All presentations must be clearly marked with your name, date, time and title of your talk.


Partner exhibits will be situated in the Foyer of Building 35 and open Tuesday to Thursday.  Please visit them.

E-Poster Displays:

E-posters will be displayed in the Foyer of Building 35.  Please like the posters on the Global Change Facebook page – Global Change 2014 https://www.facebook.com/pages/Global-Change-2014/1510603395855144 .

You will also be required to vote for your favourite poster and this will be done on the Global Change Mobi App under survey and polls, please click on the following link: http://eventmobi.com/globalchange2014/

WI FI service:

Wi fi is available in all the venues being used for the Conference.(this excludes the residence at Sanlam Student Village)

No password is required.
