Residence Accommodation

RESIDENCE ACCOMMODATION: SANLAM STUDENT VILLAGE, NMMU

For those students who had accepted extended abstracts and / or those that have selected the Residence Accommodation for your own account please note the following:

Students with sponsored accommodation (accepted extended abstracts) are receiving Accommodation and Breakfast from 30 Nov to 5 Dec (5 nights). Please ensure your arrival and departure dates have been included on your online registration.

Dinners are only provided for sponsored students on Thursday night.

If you are paying to stay in residence accommodation you were given the option of selecting Dinner on Thursday evening. Please ensure this reflects on your online registration.

If you have not selected to attend any of the social functions dinner will be for your own account.

Meal times: All meals - Breakfasts 2 - 4 Dec and dinner on 4 December will be served at the North Campus Conference Centre.   A north campus map is available on the NMMU website.

17h00 – 19h00 Dinner (Thursday night only)

You will be provided with meal tickets by NMMU upon check in.  Each person is required to produce the meal ticket at meal times to avoid meal shortages.

Only if you indicated special dietary requirements on your registration will special dietary requirements be catered for.

2/3/4 bed units – each unit includes beds in separate rooms with a shared lounge/kitchenette and bathroom.

Units have been allocated with the person you indicated on your registration form, where possible. If you have not indicated who you wish to share with, we have assigned you to a unit.

Bedding is provided.

Soap and towels are NOT provided. Please ensure you bring your own.

If you have not indicated accommodation on your online registration then your accommodation is for your own arrangements.
